Yesterday’s National Day of Prayer in Dadeville: A Moment of Unity and Patriotism
Yesterday’s National Day of Prayer gathering at the Tallapoosa County Courthouse was one of those experiences that stays with you long after the crowd has gone home. Standing there in Downtown Dadeville, surrounded by neighbors, friends, and leaders who truly love this community, I felt a deep sense of gratitude for where we live and who we are.
The atmosphere was moving — peaceful, reverent, and full of genuine patriotism. We are blessed to have God‑fearing officials who lead with humility and conviction, and every single speech reflected that. Each prayer was heartfelt. Each message carried a purpose. You could feel the unity in the air.

But the moment that stirred my heart the most was the speech and prayer offered by the Air Force service member. His words were powerful, sincere, and deeply patriotic — the kind of message that reminds you exactly why you’re proud to be an American. It was, without question, one of the most patriotic speeches I’ve ever heard.
As I listened, I felt that familiar swell of pride — not just in our country, but in our community. Dadeville shows up with heart. We show up with faith. And we show up with love for one another.
The only thing that could have made yesterday even better is if everyone could have been there to experience it. My hope is that the spirit of the day reaches far beyond the courthouse lawn and settles into homes all across our town.
May we continue to pray for our leaders, our neighbors, and our nation. May we continue to stand united in faith and purpose. And may we never take for granted the blessing of living in a place where freedom and faith walk hand in hand.
